Only in February did we drop the exclusive news that the Inglewood artist Damani, who was first featured online through dubcnn’s now merged site; Westcoast2K (see On The Come Up: Damani), was back with a new mixtape entitled; “Congratulations Playa” with DJ Reflex and DJ Skee. The result? 18 tracks of nothing but heat, a solid release featuring the acclaimed track “Gotta Stay Paid,” as well as appearences from Daz Dillinger, WC, Butch Cassidy, Keak Da Sneak and of course Damani’s “Partner in Rhyme” Bad Lucc his Westurn Union collaborator.
Since then heads have been turning and Damani has been grinding hard to keep the name buzzing and reap the rewards. One track on the release stood out with its infectious chorus and club banger feel was “Inglewood”; so guess who came through for the remix? You guessed it; Mack 10. We have the audio exclusively courtesy of Damani, Mack 10 & Bad Lucc; shouts to them.
