SkiLL Is “Rubbed The Wrong Way” On New Mixtape

0

The up and coming I.E. emcee SkiLL has finally finished his latest Mixtape entitled “Rubbed The Wrong Way Vol. 1.” The sixteen track release (including intro’s and outro’s) serves as the soundtrack for any up and coming Indpendent emcee looking to make it in the industry.

You’ll remember SkiLL from his work with Infamous/G-Unit artist 40 Glocc on a track called “San Bernardino” and he has been feautred on Dubcnn more than a few times for his other Mixtapes and various tracks he’s released over time.

If you picked up Producer Jynxx’s record recently, you will have heard SkiLL on there as well. From hustling his CDs on the corners of the I.E. to traveling with 40 Glocc and the Zoo Babies on the Anger Management Tour, SkiLL has already been through it. He’s ready to make his mark. Which brings us to “Rubbed The Wrong Way Vol. 1.” SkiLL is NOT happy with the state of Hip Hop as you’ll see below, SkiLL is going to be very vocal as to what he thinks of Hip Hop and the way people are “faking” on tracks. With that said, SkiLL took a different approach on this Mixtape, as far as his content goes. He explains:

“There’s been enough massaging of the way people say certain things in songs. It’s not OK for certain stuff to be promoted and glorified and made a way of life. Hip Hop is near 100% unrealistic from Gangsta Rap to Neo-Soul and so on. Being from Westside of San Bernardino, CA (the HEART of the I.E.), I know how certain things are just plain normal today, which are actually just against the real rules. People don’t care about anything and no one says nothin’. And if they do say somethin’ it’s not a solid: ‘No, that’s not cool and we gonna have problems if it happens again.’ It’s like a simple ‘Yo, lighten up a bit,’ kinda response to it. I’m rubbin’ everyone the wrong way and feel free to say what you want to me. I WILL reply to whoever has somethin’ to say. I stand firm in this til’ the death of me, so ride with it or collide with it. There’s no dsirespect, it’s all love. 100% real love for ALL of my people and Hip Hop.”
