2007 marks the targeted chart return of the British artist Mark Morrison. One of the most successful UK R&B acts of the 1990’s returns in with his new single “Dance 4 Me” featuring Tanya Stephens.
Mark Morrison is best remembered for his 1996 Worldwide Top 10 hit single, “Return Of The Mack” which saw him quickly gain international success, including a double platinum plaque in the U.S. With his success came noteriety as he was plagued by run-ins with the law that prevented him from consolidating his position in the industry.
Last year he emerged from relative obscurity with an album, “Innocent Man,” that due to label problems and mis-marketing slipped unnoticed by many. Now in 2007 Mark Morrison has released “Dance 4 Me” to solidify a chart position and draw eyes back to his latest album. The new single, released this week on iTunes, Napster and all digital outlets, is taken from the aforementioned album “Innocent Man” which includes collaborations with DMX, Daz Dillinger, Tray Deee, Alexander O’Neal, Elephant Man and Adina Howard.
There are two versions of the single available for download, the second CD contains the T-Pain Remix of “Dance 4 Me”, for those that don’t know, T-Pain is Akon’s protege, signed to Jive Records. The track is produced by California based production team The Costars.
