Exclusive Snoop Dogg Throwback Joint

Today we take you back to the good ole’ 90’s for an exclusive throwback joint. Not only do we cover certified classics for the throwback ride, but also unreleased tracks that never hit the public. And chances are slim that the average West Coast listener heard this song before. This is a special drop from the Dubcnn archives for all the Death Row fans, especially all the Snoop Dogg fans.

We bring you an unreleased Snoop Doggy Dogg track that was recorded during the "Doggfather" sessions. The song was supposed to appear on the album, but got cut later on. It’s called "Work It Out" and it features Shaquille O’Neal and Mista Grimm. As Snoop revealed in Part 4 of our exclusive interview back in January, that was the time when he hooked up with Shaq on the music tip:

"Actually, that’s how me and Shaquille O’Neal got real cool, cause of that particular album. There’s a song called "Dippin’ In My Low-Low", he wanted that song that muthafuckin’ bad, the nigga came to my studio like "Nigga I need to get that song!!!" I was like "Nigga that’s Shaq!" I gave him the song and me and him ended up making some music together and we became cool after that. But you know me, like I said, I done made a lot of classic shit that I don’t even remember or don’t even know where the fuck it’s at! I think I done been a part of atleast a thousand songs. And I’ve been a part of atleast a hundred hit records!"

Dogg ain’t lying about them songs! As for "Work It Out", that is one of them collabos Snoop and Shaq ended up recording together. Shaq did the first verse, while Mr. Indo Smoke himself is rapping on the second verse. And you already know that Snoop did his thing on the last verse. As you can tell by the overall vibe of the song, it has that "1996 Doggfather funk" feel to it.
