I want to introduce you all to Short Dawg Tha Native, an indian rapper from the reservation of San Manuel. He’s from the Yuhaviatam tribe in Southern California, and is trying to get his name out in the rap game.
His musical influences came from his step father – one of the best known drummers in the Inland Empire, and his mother, who fronts her own band. He recently opened up for Tech N9ne on the Tech’s MLK 2007 Tour, and released an album called “Short Stories“, which features Bad Azz and Mellow Man Ace, through Voodoo Nation Records.
I have a couple of tracks from the album available for ya’ll to check out to get a feel for Short Dawg. The first one is called “Still Ghetto“, a deep and laid back song about his trials and tribulations growing up:

The second track is called “Bounce Back” a Funk Doctor produced West Coast joint featuring Bad Azz on a verse! Check this one out below:

And last but not least is “Radio Play“, another song off the “Short Stories” album, featuring Mellow Man Ace. This one was produced by Short Dawg and Mellow Man themselves as well, and it’s on the old school tip. The two trade verses over this high energy track, make sure to peep it:

Short Dawg Tha Native also has a rock band that he’s working with called Dog Faced Gods. For more information on Short Dawg, check out his MySpace page.
