If you can think back to 2006 when we dropped Problem’s acclaimed mixtape “Deal Or No Deal”, you’ll know that the talented Compton MC has been grinding hard for some time to find the right label situation.
After sifting through countless offers to find the right home for his music, Problem signed his major label deal with Universal Republic, a division of Universal Records, yesterday! The entire Dubcnn staff would like to extend our congratulations to him. We caught up with Problem earlier today for a few words about his new deal, and here’s what he had to say.
“Y’all can expect giant things from Problem and Derang Entertainment! We ’bout to take over this motherf*cker bra! They done gave the wrong n*gga some money this time! *Laughs* Nah, but on the real, I’m just excited man. I finally get a shot to show the world what I can do, so I’m ready to take full advantage of that. Thanks goes to all the Problem supporters and the Problem haters. Believe me, I’m nothin’ without y’all!”
