Dubcnn had the great opportunity to talk to a West Coast veteran and one of the West Coast’s rising stars at the same time: Kurupt and Problem. The young Compton MC tells us about his deal with Universal Republic, working with Snoop Dogg, his “I’m Toe Up” remix, upcoming mixtapes, how he linked up with Kurupt through Terrace Martin and much more.
Kurupt tells us about his numerous projects, with Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Fredwreck and DJ Quik to name a few, the new Dogg Pound album dropping this summer, as well as the “Dogg Pound Gangsta Grillz” mixtape.
Kurupt also talks about the influence that the feedback and criticism from the fans has on his music, where his head is at right now, what labels he’s working with, the status on Roscoe and much more. Problem ends off the interview on a positive note with a few words on his music and working with Terrace Martin.
