Female MC and reality TV star Da Brat was recently sentenced to three years in prison as a result of a 2007 altercation in a nightclub in Atlanta, where she struck a woman in the face with a rum bottle. Da Brat was the first female MC to go platinum and rose to fame with her G-Funk influenced sound back in the mid-90’s.
