E-40 Is Joined By Dem HoodStarz On Wake It Up Tour

Official press release: In a bold move designed to introduce their music all along the West Coast hip hop duo, Dem HoodStarz, have organized their own tour with the ever popular E-40 as the headliner. The Wake It Up Tour will visit 19 cities including Seattle, Las Vegas, San Deigo, Los Angeles, and Portland.

The tour recently began in Costa Mesa, CA and runs until November 25th. All of the artists on the tour are Dem HoodStarz, Big Rich, Keak Da Sneak, and Glasses Malone. Hip Hop veteran Too Short will also join them on select dates.

Dem Hoodstarz, are the Bay Areaメs newest and hottest kids on the block made up of wordsmiths Band-Aide and Scoot. モPeople believe because we are from the Bay weメre all Hyphy. We grew up in that era but thatメs not what weメre about. Our music is a mixture of Hyphy, West Coast, East Coast and Dirty South. We do it all and The Wake It Up Tour will urge audiences not to sleep on us,ヤ says Scoot.

With the Ambassador of the Bay, E-40 side-by-side on stage, fans can get ready and set to get their monies worth. モExpect me to perform old school vintage E-40 songs and new school current E-40 songs, expect leadership crowed participation , lots of energy, excitement and stage presence. One thing my momma always told me was where ever I go and what ever I do, show up and show out, Hello!,ヤ says E-40.

Dem HoodStarz sophomore album, “Black Friday“, is scheduled to drop November 21, 2008, but their first single, モCode of the Streets,ヤ is already receiving spins in several markets. Their second release, モI Got A Problem,” featuring Gucci Mane, is gaining nods around the country as well. Although Dem Hoodstarz hail from the Bay Area, they donメt hail to be all Hyphy. The two say they are all street and every time they grab a mic thatメs what they represent. “We got hot tracks they need to hear,ヤ adds Band-Aide.

Dem Hoodstarz made their debut in 2007 with their hit single, “Grown Man On,” produced by San Jose’s Traxamillion from their freshman album Band-Aide & Scoot. Currently signed to their own independent label, Lawless Records, they are charted on a course to the land ultimate stardom and the Wake It Up Tour is the first rocket theyメre launching to get them there.
