Meech Wells recently became one of the first DJ’s to represent Slip N Slide DJ’s on the West Coast. He has really taken the job of bringing The New West Coast music to the South and the East Coast. Taking artist like Rick Ross, Trina, Plies, Shonie, and Kaneri Diamond and putting them on his West Coast instrumentals has proven to be a success for the West Coast and the South.
His mixtapes have received over 10,000 downloads consistantly from loyal West Coast followers and East Coast fans alike.
Meech Wells and Kokane have teamed up recently to come up with the most unique mixtapes to hit the streets, “The Hooks and Beats Series.” This new series will give artists an opportunity to put themselves on original beats from Meech Wells and hooks from Kokane and create their own vocals over West Coast Flavor. Meech makes it clear to artists that you may use it but “it’s for promotional use only.”
Meech Wells said; “Artists are always looking for instrumentals to flow over, well we took it one step further.” With beats from a producer that has worked with Shaquille O’Neil, Snoop Dogg, Tha Eastsidaz, No Limit Records and Nas coupled with Hooks from The Hook Master Kokane.
Meech Wells has been a key figure through the 90s and into the 00s with Hip-Hop music spanning the coasts. More recently Meech Wells has taken the lead of the west coast resurgence with his “New West World Order” mixtape series, that feature artists such as Mack Life, 211 Eastwood, Young Joker and The Game.
