While going through my archives, I stumbled across this slept on album called "In My Lifetime" by rapper K. Borne. And since we’ve been on a roll with Tha Chill tracks lately, this should be a good opportunity to pull it back out since the Compton’s Most Wanted veteran played a major role on this album. Another vet in the game, Rhythm D, was also onboard for the project as the two came together to form the production duo called The BoomDocz (they also did MC Eiht‘s "Veterans Day" together). They produced the entire K. Borne album which came out in 2005 through K’s own imprint Bootlegg Enterprize. Before that, the left coast rapper was signed to Loud Records and later to Mike Tyson‘s Tyson Records.
On "In My Lifetime", they went with the old school 1 rapper / 1 production team concept. 10 songs, no features, no guest producers, just some dope music!
Dubcnn has two tracks from the album for you to check out:
K. Borne – Hustle (Prod. by Tha Chill & Rhythm D)
K. Borne – Rap Life (Prod. by Tha Chill & Rhythm D)
