Mykill Miers Returns With Group The Next of Kin

Mykill Miers, one of L.A.’s truest underground MC’s, is back to make noise in 2011. Having been on the scene for well over a decade, an alumnus of ‘The World Famous Wake Up Show’ featuring Sway from MTV, King Tech and DJ Revolution – LA’s own Mykill Miers has earned the title of “The Illest MC in LA’s Hip Hop Underground”.

Since the release of his debut album “It’s Been a Long Time Coming” in 2000 he has gone on to lend his talents to TV [VH1メs Eddie Griffinメs Goingメ Broke and the Bravo Networks, Iron Chef and Real Housewives of Atlanta], Radio and Film – sprinkled with a handful of albums and an array of performances alongside some of the industry’s hottest acts such as including The Black Eyed Peas, Jurassic 5, Dilated Peoples, Freddie Foxxx, KRS-One, Public Enemy, The Neptunes, and Wu-Tang Clan

In 2009 Mykill released the acclaimed Take It In Blood album that featured artists including Prince Po of Organized Konfusion fame, Aceyalone, Chali2na of Jurassic 5, Rakaa Iriscience of Dilated Peoples, Born Allah, Cat IZ, Black Stephan, Sinis, Craig Smith, Greg Enemy as well as production from DJ Revolution.

Having refreshed your memory on Mykill Miers we are here today with news that he has released a track by his group – first announced in 2010 – consisting of Tony Clifton, Dave Goliath, Black Stephan and Mykill Miers.

The Next of Kin aka The NOK are wrapping up their self-titled debut album due for release on April 19, 2011 and have sent over the first single from the album entitled “Ha!” which can be downloaded below.
