No stranger to Dubcnn she has appeared on countless albums and mixtapes – including last years acclaimed The Red Room release from Game and DJ Skee – and has built up a strong fan base with her lava hot lyrics, on point delivery and undeniable sex appeal, Diamonds fits perfectly in as the lone female counterpart to the BWS family; patriarch The Game, alongside musical brethren; Juice, NuJerzey Devil, DJ Haze and Clyde Carson.
Earlier this month she was back on Dubcnn to drop the predominantly a solo effort Diamondz Boys & 808’s alongside DJ Ill Will & DJ Rockstar and featuring Krys Ivory, Jay Rock, Crooked I, Beeda Weeda and Wink.
Kanary Diamonds, like the definition of her fancy namesake, is a precious jewel or gem, and a much needed breath of fresh air in an otherwise stale musical climate and today she returns to speak to Dubcnn about the new release, her musical upbringing, signing to BWS, being a female MC – and the impact Nicki Minaj has made to the industry as well as discussing plans for the future.
