Xl Middleton had a busy 2010 on dubcnn showing he is one of the most consistent artists around and always dropping new music for his fans. Last year XL Middleton & Black&Mild released The Yardnic Mixtape, then he linked up with Clinton Wayne to turn Wiz Khalifa‘s “Black And Yellow” into a Los Angeles anthem entitled “Gold And Purple” in both Audio and Video formats.
Then in December last year XL Middleton was back with news of a forthcoming mixtape “Mixed Drinks Volume 2” with DJ Age and the first track from it that saw him team up with the soulful vocals of Reality Jones to pay homage to America’s favorite banned malt liquor energy drink Four Loko. Set the tune of the immaculately-replayed “For The Love Of You” by the Isley Brothers again we dropped the Audio and the Video.
XL Middleton just dropped off another banger for us today entitled “Refill” that is produced by xXx Productions a track with the classic, funky uptempo feel of 90’s West Coast hip hop, only with a fresh twist of what’s going on musically in 2011.
It’s the first official single from the new Crown City Entertainment roster – XL Middleton, Harold Blue and Reality Jones and will appear on the aforementioned “Mixed Drinks Volume 2” mixtape, coming April 2010.
