Prior to the upcoming release of Dom Kennedy‘s “From The Westside With Love II”, the Leimert Park native is releasing a project out of the blue called “The Original Dom Kennedy”.
The 12 track piece shows growth for Kennedy, who with this project shows a level of clarityﾗfinding his true self, and being more in tune with himself than with any of his predecessors.
Producers like Swiff D, Polyester, Fresh Chuck, DrewByrd, and Chuck Inglish all add their touch to it and give “The Original Dom Kennedy” a cohesive sound. Dom Kennedy managed to mesh his laid back rhymes with vintage West Coast production that is reminiscent of the 90s golden era. And it works well.
