Independent music hustler and Wu Tang affiliate Shabazz the Disciple took time out of his busy West Coast trip to sit down with us and talk the independent music game, how he’s gained a younger following and what he believes to be the resurgence of horrorcore rap in the 2011 and 2012.
He also gives us his opinion on the “Cage VS Cons” event which recently took place in Los Angeles and which he performed at. In the event several law enforcement officials are pitted against ex convicts in an officially sanctioned cage fighting M.M.A. match. The event also featured performances for artists such as Shabazz, E-40, Too Short, Killah Priest and many more.
