Cali Assassin worked along side many West Coast greats during his time as an engineer at Snoop Dogg‘s Doggy Style Records. He learned the ins and outs of making music and industry politics from the best while honing his craft.
Canada’s very own Cole Minor released his debut street album “Preliminary Hearings” here on Dubcnn with the help of Shade Sheist in ’09.
The project did well and set the stage for things to come. After both being featured on the first song of Shade Sheist’s “Outa Sight Outa Mind: Canada Worldtape“, Cole Minor and Cali Assassin linked up to collaborate on a street album. Over the next year they wrote and recorded some two dozen songs, from which they chose the final 18 to keep on the album.
