We’re back with the podcast of Home Grown Radio. We started this week’s show off with West Covina’s own Trek Life. While giving his story, he expresses thoughts on the newer generation of artists from his city, being forced to battle rap at a young age, and where hip hop as a whole was able to take him personally.

We also get in to the term “Under Ground” and get his perspective on what’s more important, talent or grind? Throughout the interview Trek played a few joints off his current album Wouldn’t Change Nothing and kicks a freestyle over the Dove Shack classic Summer Time in the LBC.

Later in the show we get a visit from the lovely Chevy Jones; talking about her brief hiatus from the music industry, the personal insight she’s gained during her time off and how she plans to apply upon her return. She also shares the interesting story behind the name Chevy Jones, harmonizes off the top over a J. Cole instrumental and presses play on a few tracks she has in the works off an upcoming project she has yet to title.

We also played new Crooked I, Skeem Price, E40, Bad Lucc, Mykestro, The Jacka, Glasses Malone and more!
