“Beach Cruiser” 08/30, Glasses Malone Releases Single

An artist everyone on Dubcnn has been behind since day one has been Watts representer Glasses Malone. Over his career so far we’ve kept you updated with the latest news and media [See the extensive archives] and in 2011 alone we’ve given you his appearances on Phinesse’ Reborn project, Young Brown’s Damage Control mixtape and of course the acclaimed We On fronted by Malone and his Blu Division label.

After many years of waiting the long awaited debut album from Glasses Malone is almost upon us.

“Beach Cruiser” – the cover to which can be seen in this update – will be released on August 30 by Cash Money, Suburban Noize Records and Sony Music.

Today we are dropping off both his street solo record “Dope” as well as his brand new official single “Rich N Thuggin” featuring Ya Boy which landed at radio this week. A music video is being wrapped at the moment and will debut next week. Check them both below!

“Beach Cruiser” is also set to feature previously recorded and released singles Haterz featuring Lil Wayne and Birdman produced by FOC [watch the video] and Certified with Akon [watch the video] which also spawed an all star Remix with Lil Wayne, Bun B and Kam.

In a recent MTV interview Glasses said the album; “Represents the West Coast – slow, steady classic-ness. That’s how I want my music to be: just as timeless as a Beach Cruiser.” The album will also include collaborations with Lupe Fiasco, Snoop Dogg, T. Pain and Rick Ross amongst others.
