This was the header that caught our attention this week and the story behind this is Event 20/20BAS. Having been a staple of hip-hop music production for over two decades now the company who brought you the very first pair of 20/20 speakers – first snapped up and used to mix Quincy Jones’ “Q’s Jook Joint” album – are back with the 20/20BAS and to help you rediscover it they are taking 20 artists who use the equipment and releasing 20 free tracks with some the best MCs, Producers, DJs and Engineers to bring together an album that allows the speakers’ strengths to shine.
The result is 20/20 Music – 20 incredible artists killing it on 20 incredible tracks, all powered by Event 20/20BAS speakers.
The guys just released track 6 of the project – which we have for you below – which sees Sick Jacken of Psycho Realm link up with Slaine of La Coka Nostra for “Slained Sick.” The record is founded on a soulful, sample-based beat from producer G Rocka that provides plenty of room for the west coast vet and the Coka Nostra member to roam into some serious dark rhyme territory.
