Since he signed with West Coast heavyweight DJ Ill Will in 2010 under Tha Alumni Music Group imprint, 25 year old Rapper/Producer from Los Angeles, CA KiD Ink has been releasing new music at a relentless rate.
From the Essay Potna produced Wait For Me from his Crash Landing mixtape Kid Ink has created a crazy buzz, following up with the My City record with Killa Kyleon, Red Cafe and Machine Gun Kelly as well as the video to It’s On.
Then during the summer he dropped his highly anticipated debut album Daydreamer on Dubcnn featuring production from the likes of The Runners, Lex Luger, Tha Bizness, Jahlil Beats, Cardiak, KE on the Track as well as features from Cory Gunz, Ray J, Gudda Gudda, Meek Mill, Bei Maejor, Dorrough, Sean Kingston and more. Fellow rising Westside star Mann also featured on the official radio single Live It Up.
Today we are back as Kid Ink just released his latest mixtape entitled “Wheels Up” – a DJ Free project including features from Nipsey Hussle, Tyga, 2 Chainz, Travis Porter, J. Valentine and Sterling Simms.
“Wheels Up” is once again executive produced by DJ Ill Will and consists of all original music with production from the likes of Lex Luger, Megaman, Cardiak, Hit-Boy, Sonny Digital, KE, Nard and many more.
“I challenged myself with this one; I think writing and making pop & R&B records comes really easy for me, but this time around I wanted to make a project that everyone can enjoy…not just the youngsters but the fans of true Hip-Hop, lyrics, spitters as well…without going too far left of what I normally do of course,” explained Kid Ink – check it out for yourself below!
