Kendrick Lamar has today released a short film set to the tracks “u” and “For Sale?,” both off of his heavily Grammy-nominated album “To Pimp A Butterfly.”
The intense visual sees Kendrick go from being picture drinking alone ranting to the camera, through baptism to seemingly being ‘tempted’ by half-naked women. Flashing up between the powerful imagery are messages including
“I followed your rules for way too long”
“You played the game. I pimped it”
The powerful video project is a two team effort – “U” led as a Psycho Films Production directed by Jack Begert & the little homies, while “For Sale?” is directed by PANAMÆRA & the little homies and Shot in Paris at Le Silencio.
