Glasses Malone joins J-Luv and Starr Saxxxon for this weeks Microphone Masters!

Hip Hop was never intended to play it safe. Even when it was about the DJ throwing parties in the projects of New York, there was a rebel spirit in the burgeoning art form. Fast forward to 2019 and Hip Hop has been through many phases and two artists seem to be held in the highest regard.

Biggie Smalls aka Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur aka 2Pac are the subject of many a barbershop debate. Both lyricists are no longer amongst the living and their murders have been the subjects of documentaries and multiple cable mini-series.

West Coast rhyme spitter Glasses Malone recently released the song, “Tupac Must Die (Orlando Anderson)” and returned Hip Hop to the aforementioned rebel roots. The song is told from the perspective of Orlando Anderson, the gentleman rumored to be the person responsible for Tupac’s death. The visual to the song is compelling and the response to the song was swift and mixed.

GMalone’s storytelling prowess is on full display and undeniable. J and Saxxx caught up with Glasses Malone to talk about the song, the response and where his relationship with Hip Hop currently stands.

Fat Beats recently held a 25th anniversary show in Los Angeles. Starr Saxxxon was in attendance and provides a recap of the festivities.

Make sure to check out the Last Words segment where Starr Saxxxon reacts to the new alliance between Jay-Z/Roc Nation and the NFL. Saxxx’s take on this is interesting and persuasive.

Check out songs from Glasses Malone, Masta Ace, Chi Ali, Son of Tony, MC Eiht and more.
