Inland Empire representer and Ruff Ryders signee Kartoon was first mentioned on dubcnn in an interview with Jelly Roll in 2004; “And one of my cats that I f-ck with, Kartoon homie, from the 909 homie, he got signed to Ruff Ryders. He’s the first West Coast Ruff Ryder! Young Toon man. He’s hot. That youngster right there homie, he’s a monster!”

Since then Kartoon has been working hard generating a buzz with last years “1st Driveby” mixtape which featured production from Jelly Roll as well as his appearances on “Ruff Ryders Vol. 4.”

In December we also released an exclusive track featuring G-Unit Records artist 40 Glocc entitled “All U Hear Is” [see; ‘All U Hear’ Is Kartoon and 40 Glocc [Audio]]. Today we have another new track from Kartoon entitled “Take Me Away” where he delivers his verses over a slow paced track, no word yet whether this will make the cut for his next mixtape.
