With a Mac you get a reliable, streamlined experience that is just not possible on a PC.On the downside, if you are a student or sometimes need to take work home from the office then it is possible that the programs you need for your course/work may be PC only, but if this is really an issue then you can use bootcamp or a similar app to create a windows partition on your Mac and boot to Windows in order to use those programs as and when you need them.
Don't do it! They are terrible.
On the real - go ahead if you feel like it. BUT - there is the very real danger of turning into an asshole. I'm dead serious. My brother bought a Mac a couple years back and suddenly he's elitist mofo with nothing else than something with an Apple logo good enough for him.
just a quick questionhow would i even BEGIN to transfer all of my files over to a MAClet's just say i'm considering on getting one, depending on this question^
If yall aint happy wit the Mac you can still install Windows Vista on it and use Bootcamp to put half the memory on that.

As long as the hardware is up to it, the OS doesn't really matter in the end.
