Success or the track with Ice-T/Nas? The inst of Success is Titties Around The Bonfire. Was a whiteboard studio track for a probably scrapped instrumental album. Do you mean Success on the album will have a different beat?

Track with Nas and Ice-T. They first recorded it for Dre then he gave it to X and now it went to Dre again.
I believe Dr.Dre should own Compton, Dr.Dre said X Man you're onto somethig...

He was. Dre is weird dude. One day he’ll come up and say he’s ready to pull the trigger and then the other day he would scrap it.

Would of the been first time ever hearing Ice-T recorded by Dre, now that it's back in the Dr's vaults... :grumpy:
'We're All in the Same Gang' is the closest release from them together.

Does X get a replacement Dre produced song or has Dre taken his toys home?

Nah. Especially after his last few releases flopped. Dre doesn’t have it in him anymore and honestly it’s not gonna be the westcoast g shit but that weird Missionary type stuff.

it's all so simple

dre admitted in 2000 that he tried getting away from the gangsta shit for the aftermath compilation and that it simply didn't work

so he went back to it and recognized it was the recipe to success

now he did it again.. abandoned the sound that made the world fall in love

all he needs to do to go out wit a bang is come full circle

get cube, ren, kurupt, daz, rbx, rage, snoop, em, 50, hittman, game, knoc, paak etc. all together for one final hoorah so that he can go out wit that 60 point game that epitomizes his entire career on 1
album

it needs to be an evolved sound of 2001 (compton was almost that, but more on the experimental side).... just like 2001 was an evolved sound of the chronic.. and just like the chronic was an evolved sound of efil4zaggin

simple science

he and snoop did the best song they ever did in last 15 years with "thank you". it was a banger and had potential to be a classic. but they didnt even promote it.

also snoop and dre are old cats. whatever they do brings no profit will come financially. so whatever they do, they will not promote it and it will not be a classic.

you really mentioned hittman? hittman? really? :) what does he do? he is nowhere. he do nothing. why he deserves to be on a new dr. dre album?

It’s almost like Dre needs an overseeing producer himself to guide his next project in the right direction.

all great points.   Dre doesnt have it in him anymore, he's trying to make perfection now with the music.  he probably doesnt want to make what we would like to hear because he did so many iterations of it trying to make detox and he's tired of it.  its like eminem and his way of rapping now, its like he's bored with it.  maybe the dude just needs to stop making music for bit

Honestly he needs to retire and call it a career. The old fans hate his new stuff and his new stuff isn’t attracting any new fans. He refuses to go back to his successful signature sound, so might as well pack it up. Or just stick to mixing records. DJ Quik is in the same boat right now. And i love both those guys and it pains me to say it. But for whatever reason, they refuse to make the type of music that made them a success and garnered all of their fans.

I agree. He needs to get the same cats around him that helped make Chronic + 2001. Rappers and producers.

Dre needs to start working with younger artists and producers.  In the past he was always able to evolve.  Seems like he has been stuck with some people around him for too long now.

bruh nobody likes last dance wit mary jane thank you nearly as much as u do LOL

even look at the response on the forum.. a few think it's a pretty good track, some think it's ok (like me), others think it sucks .... but nobody thinks it's some mindblowing joint outside of u

and i think u missed my point in listing hittman ... i was clearly listing all the people he put on and/or who were responsible for helping to make his previous albums classics. so that he can have a full circle moment and go out with a bang.. and considering hittman was the most featured artist on 2001, he should definitely be part of that.

if dre did that and came with the sound we want, it would definitely be far more successful than this latest snoop album. quality typically rises to the surface.
