Very underwhelming. Sounds like a half assed rushed attempt at capturing any interest from nostalgic old heads but it’s just not hittin right smh

No soopafly?
No nate
No RBX
No Daz
No Warren
No twinz

Beats are very forgettable

Why should it be similar to something that's came before though in terms of productions/features?

I'm not singling you out at all but the want for everything to sound like and be like everything that has came before it on this forum is embarassing. Artists move on and do what THEY want. Not the fans. Maybe if people actually put their hand in their pockets to pay for what THEY want to hear then artists would be more amiable to that. But no, the majority want shit for free on streaming. So why should they give you what they want?

I thought the Ep OK. Too much Snoop, good use of the S.O>s. Band sample on 'Dogg Be Good'. People need to throw their expectaions out on EVERYTHING. Everyone expecting big budget albums on $10 for 1m streams budgets. This forum really needs to educate itself and you and Scitt are in a great position to do that.

Because a good artist will be self aware and cater to what the fans want instead of arrogantly just putting out what they feel like putting out. Andre 3000 put out a flute album that came and went because that’s what he felt. Great. I’m glad he did it but willl it resonate with fans like ATLiens?

Look at Em. He knows what the fans wanted so he at least tried to resurrect slim shady Em. He just didn’t have it in him but I appreciate the sentiment

And you’re naturally going to compare an artists new releases to the classic material. That’s the standard they set.

Andre 3000 is an established artist though, same with Eminem. They have a huge fan base and a machine behind them, also both artist were able to evolve musically.  These two are legends.

I do agree though, it could have been a bit better, having the newer acts involved like Big Hit would have helped a bit. Also I don't felt the growth when listening to this. Same lyrics, same content, as if it was 2000

Going by the comments on here, ok YouTube comments, on IG, this EP does resonates with their fans.

I love it, a lot their fans like it…..It’s just not for YOU and that’s fine.

Beats are sick! This that futuristic electro funk. Would like to hear them on some beats by the Mekanix aswell.

Project is solid, but not outstanding..

Hood Been Good, Gangstafied & Rag Tied are my 3 favorites.

Rick Rock makes such unique bangers.. Rag Tied reminds me of Favorite Color Blue on DPG album.

Really disappointed with this EP in pretty much every way. Subpar production, weak concepts, and horrible beat selection. It sounds very passive and really doesn't do the group justice. This group went platinum for fucks sake. On a label with this kind of historic reputation, they should've had a real budget. October London got Babyface production on his latest album and these guys get C and D-list sounding tracks? The whole thing sounds like an afterthought and fell completely flat for me. And after 23 years, this is not even close to the kind of reintroduction they deserve. If this EP was played for me prior to release, I'd tell them to scrap it and start over. Very unconvincing. I hope better days are ahead for Tha Eastsidaz. To me, this is their worst effort yet.

Finally a consistent and mature comment. I make your words mine.

Man just watching the three-piece music video I’m loving this shit! I don’t know how people aren’t feeling this, exactly how I expect Tha Eastsidaz to sound.

Snoop really got behind them with this one, great to hear them paired with October London as well for some gangsta-soul, or should that be g-soul  8)

I’ll be checcing out the EP for sure.

Agreed on all counts!

October London killed that hook.

To me Snoop has now missed twice with the new dpg & eastsidaz albums/EP. The pop direction is NOT the sound or direction either group should have taken, Snoop should have no oversight over anything.....
Big Tray Deee new album Malice is light years ahead of this disappointing EP.

How was the DPG album pop? It had like one '"pop" song.
