The westcoast now has representation on one of the biggest emerging record labels in the industry. BabyGrande. The well known underground collective known as Custom Made have signed a deal which includes a mixtape due out in September including a DVD followed by the groups official debut album in 2007.
Over the years they have been together they have drawn comparisons to the likes of Wu-Tang and Mobb Deep while all the time creating a strong buzz in the streets of L.A.
Having moved over 100,000 mixtapes on the strength of the music and their own street savvy they saw national noteriety earlier this year when L.A.s DJ Warrior featured the group on his Cali Untouchable Ice Cube Mixtape.
“Custom Made has a sound and feel that you dont expect to hear and see coming out of L.A. To me their music is a fusion of all aspects of LA hip-hop culture presented in an entirely new manner and that originality and realness is what makes everyone from bangers to battlers feel their music. All of them are either 19 or 20 years old so they truly represent a new generation of hip-hop” exlained Chuck Wilson of BabyGrande.
