Bleu Collar Ready “Traning Day” With New Track

Basik and Reese One better known as Bleu Collar have been appearing on Dubcnn since 2005 and have been putting out music on the underground circuit consistantly during that time. Often dubbed “the bridge between the Living Legends of the world and the Pacific Division’s and Blu’s of the new underground L.A. scene,” Bleu Collar continue to run a fine line between the gritty underground and the mainstream circuit.

Those who know the scene will know that Bleu Collar were the duo behind the legendary 99cent Special (2006-07) at Little Temple in Silverlake, CA.

The event, which was highlighted on Dubcnn regulary, was known as the livest party without the pretentious Hollywood vibe. The legendary 99cent special shows created and environment where you could watch Bleu Collar and friends performing new songs fresh out the studio for experimentation in it’s rawest form. Adding to their incredible live show status, Bleu Collar created Los Angeles Designer Music Live at the Temple Bar in Santa Monica, CA. where they gave one the most talked about live shows in the L.A. hip-hop scene to this day.

More recently Bleu Collar has focused on building the L.A. music scene often collaborating and rocking shows with friends and family including J Davey, Pacific Division, Diz Gibran, and Ben Kartwright.

That hasn’t stopped the duo recording their creative and hard-hitting sound their known for Basik and Reese One are in accord regarding their goal; “Bleu Collar is solely interested in making extraordinary music”

Today we have a new track from the duo that will appear on their new “Training Day” project which is due for release on May 19th. “Training Day” is a five song EP that will be available for free download right here on Dubcnn. The project showcases the duo in their rawest form while doubling as a metaphor for the groupメs re-entry into the game. Bleu Collar has taken some of the most unlikely instrumentals from renowned producers and totally transforming them into authentic Bleu Collar heat. The gloves are off and all boundaries have been broken.

Bleu Collar’s sparing partners on the EP are Portishead, David Banner, Flying Lotus, MF Doom, and Deadly Avenger. The track we have today is called “Bleu Collar vs. Doom & Ghost” and can be heard below
