Did I Hear That Right? Chico & Coolwadda Reform!

0

Hard to believe but its getting on for ten years since Chico & Coolwadda dropped their 2001 debut album “Wild ‘N Tha West” and just over six years since their sophomore – and last album – “Parallel” hit stores.

I use the word last rather than final as, despite not having worked together in the studio or on stage for over 5 years, the duo have just told Dubcnn that they are reuniting for a new album that is scheduled to drop next year and they are currently in talks to join Daz and Kurupt on a DPG tour after they were the special guests at a Palm Spring show this past weekend.

For now all we know for sure is that this weekend the duo will hit the studio for the first time in half a decade to record with Mr Kushington and Genesis Ian of the Lab Ratz. More info will be available on Dubcnn soon but in the meantime – for those of you that know C&C as well as the youngsters who might – take a trip back to 2001 with the classic “High Come Down” featuring Nate Dogg.

Rest assured though that Coolwadda now known as Coolie High will continue to release his planned solo music, including the “Coolie Say’s Hes High” mixtape on Dubcnn, the project we dropped the first single from last month called Paranoid with Bozak Black Sox.
