Pasadena, California’s own Harold Blue holds legendary status in his hometown as one of the organizers of the city’s annual Yardnic event. Now in the fold of XL Middleton’s freshly re-formed Crown City Entertainment imprint, Blue is looking to step into the arena of recording artist, with his debut video “The Fig Is In The House.”
The smooth, lowrider-ready ode to his street of origin, Harold Blue looks to add a unique perspective to the West Coast sound by taking the sample-heavy soul sound that producers like 9th Wonder and J-Dilla have trademarked, & giving it a California twist by lacing it with tales of Cognac sipping, paper chasing, & female gaming that would make Too Short proud.
