Hard to believe but it’s over 4 years since we brought you the first hearing of Black Hippy when they linked with Bad Lucc in 2009.
That track “Target Practice” was a six and a half minute heater and showed early on that the crew – and the rest of TDE as a whole – meant business.
Today XXL confirmed that Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock and Ab-Soul – better known as Black Hippy – appear on the cover of the October/November issue of XXL with a special photo shoot by Jonathan Mannion and story by kris ex, which explores the fast-growing success of TDE as a label and the careers of the individual artists.
