(Official Video) Bad Lucc – Ski Mask feat. Rapsody

You can call it an unlikely pairing if you will, but the united effort established between Diamond Lane Music Group & Jamla Records is soon to prove itself necessary and vital, bridging the west coast indie label home to Problem & Bad Lucc, with the North Carolina based creative collective shepherded by their sound and soulful leader, 9th Wonder. The dynamically different teams bring together their premiere players to add a couple more tallies to the win column, and as cliché as it may be, change the game, while reverting to rap’s origins of hard beats and hard bars. After having released Off The Porch earlier this year in April, the L.A. native returns to wreck the record with one of the game’s most poetic and potent emcees in Rapsody on the AMP produced piece “Ski Mask”, showcasing the flow and fluidity that has undoubtedly set the standard for the remainder of the unheard project Breathe set to be released Nov.10th

The leading single sets the stage for what seems to be a promising creative collaboration with one of Jamla’s prime producers in AMP, and leaving dope rhyme delivering duties to one of the west coast most respect, well connected wordsmiths, Bad Lucc. Breathe will indeed feel like fresh air to an asthmatic in a game heavily polluted with nonsense & falsified content, purifying the air waves with a needed authenticity and artistic attitude lacking today. Setting the visual vibe for the project with a clean and crisp collection of cuts, the focus falls on bars and production, placing emphasis on the tools of the trade now used to destroy urban communities rather than rebuild and restore as they were originally intended to do..
