Introducing: Cinatra (Audio)

When you think of Frank Sinatra, you think New York, New York. You may think the 1940s, and you might think the Rat Pack. Hip-Hop certainly doesnt come to mind. However, when deliberating on over what his moniker could be, Curtis Weeks opted for Cinatra, after Ole Blue Eyes.

The reason for this came as he studied a show on Frank and it was apparent that he had the best of both worlds. Frank Sinatra was able to rub shoulders with the Crme de la crme of Hollywood, yet dive into the depths of the underworld and be a key figure amongst mobsters and gangsters, yet not be considered out of place. Cinatra personally identified with this. Having spent five years in the military, he was exposed to a totally opposite way of life from which he was accustomed. He admits to coming from the bottom but having the exposure of the military made his journey down lifes path similar to that of his namesake. It was during his tenure in the Air force that he discovered his talent for lyrical wordplay and opted to follow that course.

Versatile is a word that Cinatra can identify with, however this isnt what makes his character unique. What makes him stand out from all the other emerging talent, is his integrity and his appreciation for the art form. He is dead set on which path he is going to take to be recognized as an exceptional lyricist. He has been inspired by some of the greatest names in soul music such as Marvin Gaye, The Commodores, and Teddy Pendergrass along with some of the most influential artists in rap and hip-hop, KRS One, LL Cool J, Nas, and Jay-Z. Cinatra has studied both the music and the business and is ready to fill that vacant seat that so many artist strive for.

A Trenton, NJ native, Cinatra wants to cash in on the lack of serious emcees representing his home state. I want to put the East Coast back on the map. New Jersey has never had its own voice; it has always been smothered between NY and Philly. The Voice of NJ has not appeared on ridiculous amounts of mixtapes, nor has he rocked more stages than the Rolling Stones like some artists have, but this doesnt equate a negative image of readiness. Cinatra has been attentively mastering his art, which is a rarity within the walls of the Hip-Hop genre nowadays. He wants to promote reliability and showmanship; he wants to be an artist, not another entrepreneur; he wants to be a name that is respected for marrying beats with words.

So with a competent team behind him and his own proficiency, Cinatra knows he can reach higher heights. There is nothing in todays game that he cant play for, nothing he cant win. Everything is there for the taking and there is nothing to lose!!!!
