It was back in April of this year that we introduced you to an artist who hails from Lynwood, California. As with much of the WestCoast it’s an area full of promising new takent and one of those MC’s hustling to make it in the industry is McClain.

Last time we heard from McClain he told us that he had been working with experienced professionals including Blaqthoven & Jellyroll, featured on mixtapes including “Halla The Buzz Vol. 2”, “DJ Nicky Slicks : Rebirth of the West”, “Gain Green Records Present – Stress : Young Church Vol.1 & Vol.2” and countless others. He had also featured alongside Stress and Jellyroll in the music video for the record; “Hot Patada.”

He also told us that he was putting the finishing touches to his mixtape entitied; “McClain Presents (3552 Lynwood)Da Mixtape” while working on his debut album. The material we premiered in his On The Come Up article was well received and quickly helped him gain an buzz.

Recently McClain also met up with Jerry Heller of N.W.A. and Ruthless Records fame to talk business, you can see a picture from that meeting here. We have new material below which is set to be featured on the aforementioned mixtape including a sample of the track “Wipe My Eyez” which features Syreeta Nicole and is produced by Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem, a track called “The Mobb” as well as a cut that had New York buzzing when he played it over there earlier this year; “Dead Presidents.”
