Tha Trapp is back up in the building, and all the fans of that block music need to pay attention! After their recent name change and new label deal with WC‘s Big Swang Records [see: The Swat Change Name; Sign to WC’s Big Swang Records], Money Grip and M.P. are back with new material for your ears. With a buzz spreading on the streets and the internet, Tha Trapp earned their Hip Hop stripes on albums such as Mack 10‘s "Ghetto Gutter & Gangsta" and other Hoo Bangin’ related projects.
The two man group hit us up at Dubcnn to leak an exclusive preview from their upcoming mixtape "Block Music", the follow up project to "Jackn’ For Beats Vol. 1" released in 2004. The track goes by the same name, "Block Music", and features their label head himself, Dub C. The song was produced by J-Classic who laced tracks on Suga Free‘s "Just Add Water" album or the Remix of Ice Cube‘s "Chrome & Paint". G-Malone is doing the intro for the song and showing respect which they definitely deserve, not only for this song but for all their work they’ve put in to this day.
Tha Trapp also have another street single ready to go out called "Ridin’ On Chrome". Both songs will be featured on the "Block Music" mixtape which is due out later this year. Also look out for their debut album "The Drought" coming at you early 2007. But for now, hit the link to download the song and make sure you tell your friends about it!
