As you already know, not only do we review established mainstream artists, but also up and coming rappers that we believe in. One of them is Los Angeles based emcee Convinced, who we introduced you to with his album "I Do It For The People". As the title implies, the project is strictly for the people and available free of charge. If you missed the article on the release back in April, you can go back and grab it here.
And if you can’t decide (there’s no reason for that as it’s available for free download, but just in case), read the review written by Dubcnn’s Music Editor, Conan Milne, and you’ll be convinced.
"I Do It For The People" receives the Dub Quotable: "Incorporating a generous dose of honesty and humour into his innovative music, this young man seems intent on breaking the stereotypical image of the unapproachable ‘gangsta’ rapper".
Convinced – I Do It For The People (Review)
In conjunction with the review, we also have an exclusive sneak preview of Con’s upcoming album "The First Impression", which is due out this summer. The track right here is called "High Ambitions" and it’s another piece of proof why he’s one of the brightest (and ambitious) new talents to emerge from the West Coast in a while.
Convinced can be contacted on his MySpace @ myspace.com/convincedmusic.
