This year, BMI have chosen Snoop Dogg to receive their honorary BMI Icon Award at the 11th annual BMI Urban Awards on August 26th, in which he will be joining the ranks that include George Clinton, The Jacksons, James Brown, Isaac Hayes, Willie Nelson, Carlos Santana and more.
Taking place in Los Angeles, the 11th annual BMI Awards will also be naming the Urban Song of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Publisher of the Year, and more.
The award for Snoop marks 20 years at the top of the industry and the award will be met with an all-star musical tribute during the ceremony to honor the event.
