Damizza Book Release Confirmed + Exclusive Excerpts

0

Earlier this year we alerted you to the news that Damizza was getting ready to release his long awaited book – that had been held up by Mariah Carey’s attorneys – as well as a new LP [see; EXCLUSIVE: Damizza Readies New LP & Long Awaited Book].

Well as promised in August Damizza dropped “MCSB” via iTunes featuring the street single with Bishop Lamont and Indef entitled Mortimer & Randolph produced by Los and U Can’t See Me featuring Knoc-Turn’Al.

Today we are back on the book tip as, just like Damizza stated in our last update, he is releasing it just before Christmas on December 14th and we have just received the official press release from the man himself.

“His name is Damion モDamizzaヤ Young, you may not have heard of him but maybe youメve heard of some careers he launched, like; Eminem & Biggie Smalls, and revived the careers of Snoop Dogg & Mariah Carey. After being in the music industry for over 25 years Damizza is ready to share how his music skills brought artists to life, and how those same skills almost took his own life in his book “Guilty By Association.”

Damizza has worked in nearly every area in music but he is most recognized as a producer for hits such as モCrybabyヤ and モI Still Believeヤ by Mariah Carey. He has also produced for other renown artists such as; Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, and even Korn! But all this success came with a price. His substance addictions caused his career to spin out of control.

The book is filled with candid stories, one of the most compelling is, how he managed to have Snoop Dogg perform in NY with Jay-Z just three months after Biggieメs death in hopes of squashing the East Coast/West Coast beef. Because of this, Irv Gotti credits Damizza as the person who モbuilt a bridgeヤ in bringing the East and West together.

Some of the other intriguing stories are; his time backstage with Michael Jackson, his conversation with Biggie just hours before he died, and how he single-handedly convinced Snoop and Dre to agree to モThe Chronic 2001ヤ.

The book has also led to subsequent legal issues due to a tabloid uproar concerning his romantic relationship with Mariah Carey, which was never his intent. Since then, Mariah has read the chapter that involves her and told Damion that, モshe doesnメt have a problem with it.ヤ

When asked why he felt this book was important, Damizza had this to say, “I want people to understand the truth of what theyメre getting into when theyメre seduced by the excess of this business. Iメve been blessed to be in the room when some of the biggest decisions in music were made, and I believe that itメs my duty to pass these stories along. What means the most for me is to show the human reality of the music business.”

Damizza also announced that he will release the book is offering the book free of charge, in order to disprove allegations that heメs doing this for profit. It is co-written by world-renown author J. Marshall Craig and will be available on December 14th through DamizzaBook.

“Guilty By Association” truly tells the success and failures of one man’s music career from a unique standpoint – the man himself.

Damizza has kindly granted Dubcnn.com the honor of releasing EXCLUSIVE book excerpts in the lead up to the release date. We’ve just received the Dr. Dre chapter and next week we will be releasing and excerpt from it to whet the appetite – stay locked to Dubcnn! Whatup Damizza!
