Last month Ingelwood rapper Damani Nkosi released the second video from his new project “Thoughtful King” for the track “Free Dumb (Chains Off).”
The new LP will be his first project since the 2011 On Vacation From Vacation, featuring Snoop Dogg, Crooked I, Mitchy Slick, Short Khop, Daz and more.
“Thoughtful King” will include a supporting cast such as Motown recording artist BJ The Chicago Kid, Grammy nominated R&B vocalist Musiq, Maroon 5 keyboardist PJ Morton, Grammy winning producer Warryn Campbell, and Grammy winning jazz pianist Robert Glasper.
Having dropped the Musiq Soulchild and Robert Glasper featured “Now That’s Love” – which you can cop via iTunes – he’s now back with a hard hitting freestyle for “Thoughtful King” which finds the West Coast rapper on the East Coast paying homage to the streets of Brooklyn. Rapping over a Salaam Remi beat, the track was originally “Where Are They Now” off of Nas’ eighth studio album Hip Hop Is Dead. Check it below!
