Although thinking about it now, I did really like Rza’s collab album Bankz and Steelz with the lead singer of some group I never heard of called Interpol. He was very Sting-esque with his vocals so I wouldn’t dismiss it completely.

I was the same until recently. I think his appearance on the Eminem album was the forst I realised it was someone else. i only learned this week that Octobver London is a male. Was convinced it was a female for some reason. Can't know everything!

Jelly Roll and Sting? Snoop & Dre made a pop album.

That Jelly Roll Feat..... He should definitely save himself, but whats wrong with Sting aka The Police?
Englishman In New York is a classic, Whether you're like someone said, cuddly rock pop, whatever, for me it's definitely very good music. that could be a Joint make a remake with live instrumentals and Snoop said im a smokin man bla
or Love Is The Seventh Wave with some Jamaican feel, who knows

Message In A Bottle (The Police)
Walking On The Moon (The Police) CLASSIC
Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic (The Police)
Roxanne (The Police)
So Lonely (The Police)

The only thing that really bothers me is that he doesn't say Nate Dogg is on it too, of course

When I hear something like that, I say more about it
All the Years by Joell Ortiz and Heatmakerz great Story telling
sampled
Holding Back the Years by Simply Red

Sting is a Legend! I rather this than a forced gangsta rap album. There is nothing Gangsta about Snoop.

Was delighted to hear that on the album. Not a sample I was expecting!

To all the people doubting the Sting collab, did you hear the reaction from the crowd when Snoop mentioned it? https://youtube.com/watch?v=7wf5j205ytc?si=4VLcOfO_81HrHjIG Granted its a small talk show audience but imagine that reaction on a larger scale? They might be on to something...

I understand that this forum is basically a board dedicated to Death Row and G-Funk. Anything outside of it will get ignored or misunderstood.

Expecting Snoop and Dre to drop a GFunk album in 2024 is weird. Together they haven't been using the GFunk sound  since the late 90's (including The Wash and On the BLVD) . The rest of their collabs is West Coast hiphop maybe, but not GFunk.

Snoop and Dre are legends, why wouldn't they work with another legend in Sting?

I much rather hear a grown man album anyway rather than gangsta tales from 50 year old OG Snoop ;D

One of Sting's best songs is RED LIGHT.  My guess is Sting will do a chorus singing BLUE LIGHT (or something similar)

Shape of My Heart is the most obvious choice, even though it has been used a million times
