 Large Money Entertainment has always been known for delevering insanly good beats for artists such as Yukmouth, Tech N9ne, C-Bo, Young Buck, 40 Glocc and Kurupt among others.
Last year they even managed to do Tech N9nes single "Like Yeah" (Produced by Young Fyre) for the "Killer Album" and The Jacka of Mob Figaz track "All Over Me" (Produced by Jeffro for Large Money Ent).
This time Young Fyre managed to land a street single for a Sweden based group that goes by the name of Same Blood Boyz (containing rappers Json & Glaciuz and singer Baby Supreme) and the track goes by the name of Dealer Shit.
The group will be releasing their street compilation album through their independent lable Same Blood Entertainment for free on monday world wide but for now we will give you a glimpse of the track Dealer Shit so you know what the compilation has to offer.

 As we reported in November 2008 it's been two years already since Bay Area Hip-Hop veterans Zion I [DJ AmpLive & MC Zion] released the acclaimed collaboration album with The Grouch of Living Legends "Heroes In The City Of Dope."
In that same update we re-capped with two tracks from "Heroes In The City Of Dope" for download. The duo and The Grouch linked up with Mistah F.A.B. for Hit 'Em and also Trains & Planes both produced by AmpLive.

Apologies to those of you expecting a new and exclusive record from K.Dot from the "C4" mixtape. Having dropped B-tch Im In The Club last week and then Best Rapper Under 25 and Westcoast Wu Tang on back to back days this week we had planned to follow that up with a track before "C4" dropped today.
Due to some final changes to the mixtape that release has been pushed back, but fear not, its only for 24 hours. Right now we have the track that was planned for release yesterday to stem the wait until tomorrow.

 A few weeks ago, we brought you B-Real's video to his first single from his debut solo album "Smoke N Mirrors", called "Don't Ya Dare Laugh". The original version of the song only featured B-Real's protege and former Tangled Thoughts member Young De.
We've just received the official remix to "Don't Ya Dare Laugh", which finds Xzibit jumping on the third verse and straight killing it. We need a lot more Xzibit, it's always refreshing to hear him come with some raw spit, as he does on this track right here.

You’ve surely heard his talents on songs like Higher, 30 Something, Don’t Get Carried Away and so many others. Dawaun Parker sat down with Dubcnn once again for an exclusive interview.
This time around, Chad Kiser & Jon Hay talk with Dawaun about some of the current topics surrounding the Aftermath family, such as Stat Quo’s declaration that he’ll release 300 songs he did while at the label, DJ Quik’s proclamation that Dr. Dre has been getting piano lessons from the great Burt Bacharach, as well as how the loss of a son has affected the good Doctor as it relates to working on his projects.
Of course, we do the Detox talk, but we also get a bit more insight on his project, The GodBody, and we get a few updates on that. We talk about his musical background, the instruments of choice, and ultimately, his reason for making music. We go deep into the mind of this gifted producer, who will undoubtedly soon shed “The Dr.’s Apprentice” moniker for a more masterful soubriquet.

 O. Brown's long awaited street album "New West Free Agent" is finally out now, after numerous push backs. Last year we brought you the track Stay Ahead Of The Game, which featured B-Real, Bo-Roc and Jag Bomb, which kept many of you fiending for more.
The album is now available for purchase on O. Brown's MySpace page. Features include B-Real, Bishop Lamont, Jay Rock, Hittman, Young De, Taje, X.O., Noni Spitz and Bo-Roc of the Dove Shack.

 Regular dubcnn visitors should be familiar with the name Krys Ivory. The female singer from Los Angeles was featured on here last year through her affiliation with New West producer Dem Jointz and her collaborations with Problem and Bangloose to name a few.
Krys has had a turbulent year, recently surviving cancer, getting back on her feet and now officially being signed to Ryan Leslie's label Next Selection. She's released a new single, which is quickly climbing up the Billboard charts.

 In early December 2008 we reported that BYI Entertainment, home of Omar Cruz, had signed Dubcnn regular Rome as a recordng artist.
Having made a name for himself as a talented music producer working with superstar rappers such as Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes and Omar Cruz R.O.M.E. is now gearing up for life in the limelight on the mic. Today we have two tracks from Rome; the first is the track we announced would appear on the world famous DJ Skee Live From L.A. Radio Show in December that many of you will have heard called "1984."

 Bubbling rap artist, Michael "Determined" Barber, has released the venomous track aimed at Asher Roth, called "Asher's Nightmare".
Here is what Michael Barber told Dubcnn in this exclusive statement:
"Ok, first of all, what I did [the diss song] is what hip-hop is built on; I took a wack MC and put him in his place. This shit has been going on since before me and will continue to go on after me. Dude is wack, he is a product of SRC [Records] trying to profit on a gimmick and the last time I looked, the major labels didn't know what in the f--- they were doing, including SRC..."
Barber continues, "The rest of it is explained in the song. [Asher Roth] says he doesn't care about poor people cause he has money, so f--- him...and that's not coming from just me but from anybody who has ever had trouble paying an electric bill, or had to eat Ramen Noodles for dinner. He tries to hide behind a non-threatening image, but then he goes around online saying 'see me' and shit like that -- so, I just put him in his place. If this were chess, it would have already been checkmate!" says an energetic Barber.
This song will definitely have the cyber streets talking with its vicious lyrics, such as:
"This dude bout to get slapped with this instrumental,

Aftermath producer Focus... has proven to be one of the hardest producers in Hip-Hop through his work in the last few years, and after the success of his debut project "Dedication", he's currently working on a new underground CD called "Pay Homage", on which he gives it up to those who paved the way.

 2005 was the first time we exposed you all to Scan and in 2006 we ensured everyone had heard material from his much talked about debut album; "The Passion."
In August 2006 Scan's label Ground Up Entertainment released a mixtape that we gave for free download called Ground Up Live. The mixtape included new music and freestyles from the label and its associates which included Scan, Young And The Restless, LeMarvin, Philip Ray and many others.
Then in 2007 we released the free download of Loud & Clear. Since then Scan has been silent on Dubcnn; until today.
We just got word that Scan is about to release a single that is sure to raise eyebrows with the title "F-ck The Westcoast." The cover can be seen in the news image and you can see the back cover of his new mixtape "Reality Check" with DJ Fingaz here.  Born in Los Angeles and started singing at the age of 12 with a Gospel group in church; where she spent most of her time. Later when she got older she started singing back ground vocals for Barbara Streisand, Michael Jackson and Brandy just to name an amazing few, but her thirst to be a solo artist was not quenched until she and Alonzo Jackson were reacquainted. They met years before, but the stars were aligned the second time around when he was impressed by her growth as a writer and artist, so he invited her to come and write at a session with his then boss Dr. Dre.
That one session turned into Nikki signing with Dr. Dre’s publishing company “Hard Working Black Folks” and Nikki has had her chance to shine, co-writing “Fire” on 50 Cent’s last album(50 Cent Feat. Nicole Scherzinger) and writing and or singing LEAD and background vocals for Dr. Dre, Busta Rhymes, Stat Quo, Bishop Lamont, Raphael Saadiq, God Body, Ginuwine, and countless others. Most recently Nikki's song "Touch Me" was featured in the film "Not Easily Broken".

(the son of RBX) and E-Money (cousin of Snoop Dogg), last hit us with new music in September 2008 when they released New West which raised a few eyebrows when the duo used a part of dubcnn's Ice Cube interview, where Cube is asked about getting behind a new artist.
In that same update we released the single Hot For Real off the "FrattHouse University" album which is still scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2009.
We have just been sent a brand new track entitled "Am So Fly" which is also set to appear on their debut album "FrattHouse University." The song features Daz Dillinger and can be listened to and downloaded below.

 Ludacris, Common, Mix Master Mike and Keri Hilson are to Celebrate Black History Month by perfoming live at the Hip Hop 101 Music & Arts Festival on February 21st 2009. Additional performers, Dance Competitions, Visual Arts Installations and a Graffiti Art Exhibition are also scheduled to take place at the event in Los Angeles next month.
With a stellar lineup of Grammy winning artists on one stage, the Hip Hop 101 Music & Arts Festival, will celebrate Black History Month with Ludacris, Common, and turntableist Mix Master Mike of the Beastie Boys on Saturday February 21st at the Los Angeles Sports Arena starting at 6:30PM.
Also included on the bill are R&B singer and songwriter Keri Hilson and Grammy-nominated alternative Afro-Punk singer Janelle Monae.
The brainchild behind Hip Hop 101 Music & Arts Festival are Investor/Event Presenter Derek Patterson (Champ Funds, Inc.), Executive Producer Ken Andrews (South Bay Music Awards), Arias Webster Berry (Entertainment Entertainment) and Producer/Production Manager Sid Zuber (Creative Marketing Agency) who’s vision is to provide a creative arena to express Hip Hop in multiple ways.
"Hip Hop 101 Music & Arts Festival is our way to acknowledge the achievements of every artist by creating a platform and embracing Hip Hop’s culture and unity through the expression of music, beats, graffiti, visual arts, performing arts and lyrics," explained Andrews.
Besides the A-list lineup, show producers created an event that will showcase multiple facets of Hip Hop. Growing up in the same Cleveland neighborhood as Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Angelique Nichole talks about being abandoned by her mother at the tender age of eight to fight and fend for herself, as she openly explains to us, “I had a very tumultuous life as a child. I had to endure shit that grown people have yet to endure, imagine [being] a child and experiencing things that a thirty year old has yet to experience…I did all that at eight,” Angelique says, “thank God for Section 8 ‘cause my mom had it and it paid the rent where she left me to reside. I tell people all the time that section 8 was the best thing since candy.”
Angelique Nichole’s debut album Finally, We Meet (slated to be released mid 2009) boasts production from Drum Squad founder and producer Drumma Boy -- who has received production credits on albums featuring Young Jeezy, T.I., Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Nelly, and many others – and a fabulous feature from R&B singer and songwriter Lil Mo – who has collaborated with Ja Rule, Missy Elliott, Ol' Dirty Bastard and Fabolous – on her debut single “You Gon Love Me.”

2008 was an incredible year for an artist who can truly say he has been featured on Dubcnn since its foundation. It was 2002 when we first heard of him when he released his debut album "Block Venom," then in 2006 he completed his sophomore release "Listen To My Demo" with appearances from Clyde Carson of The Team, Grown Mo and Java.
Then last year we reported on a track that was pushing the boundary of radio friendly mainstream with Prophet appearing on a version of the Enrique Iglesias single Push that appeared on the "Step Up 2" soundtrack.
Today we have news that Prophet has been recording verses for the NFL televised games on FOX.  Also in 2008 Prophet co-founded Trojan Horse alongside Teruo Artistry, Deep H2OZ, Grown Mo and Six Reasons. The latter of the new movement Six Reasons, who hails from Watts, appeared on Dubcnn in August to release his Pipe Dreams street album for free download featuring appearances from Prophet, LeMarvin, LT, Grown Mo and Layne Tadesse. Production on the release included Deep H2OZ (Mac Dre, Too Short, Clyde Carson), The Key and Hutch.

 It seems like forever since we last heard some new music from the Bay Area's E-A Ski, who has proven to be one of the hardest producers to come out of the West Coast, but has yet to drop a proper solo album. The Oakland native has been busy working with his artists, including battle king Locksmith.
Mr. Ski is back to business, his label I.M.G.M.I. (Infrared Music Group/Gangsta Music Incordoprated) is ready to go and he dropped a first taste of what's to come on his MySpace this weekend. I'm talking about an introduction video to his label, featuring Locksmith rapping to an E-A Ski beat.

 Last Monday, January 13th, saw the release of the latest always anticipated and - in my opinion - yet to dissapoint; "Mixtape Messiah" project from Chamillionaire.
Chamillionaire is already on his sixth installment of the acclaimed series and seems to show no sign of letting up as he released "Mixtape Messiah 6" this past Monday. The release is 19 tracks deep and features collaborations with artists including Trae The Truth, J-Dawg, Lil Flip, Killa Kyleon, Lil Ray and Crooked I.

 We premiered a new Bad Azz single back in December called "As Long As I Can", which marked the Long Beach rapper's return to the rap game after a long hiatus. Bad Azz recently wrapped up his project with his group The Low Lifes called "Leaders Of The New School", which will dropping in the first quarter '09 through Double Dollar Sign/Poci/EMI.

 Dubcnn would like to introduce a new group out of the west coast called The Hustle Boyz consisting of Dee Dimes from Pomona, and Mac Lucci from South Central. Snoop Dogg has taken the group under his wing, and they have been busy recording in the studio since.
A few nights ago, Dah Dah was in the studio at 4AM with Snoop and The Hustle Boyz listening to the records, and he thought it would only be right if he baked them something up real fast after hearing the track. We now have a new music video to present for The Hustle Boyz song "Don't Bother Me". Look for cameos from the Snoop, Daz, Kurupt, Half Dead and The Twinz.

 Barstow, CA's own Clinton Wayne is back with a brand new single. He's the self proclaimed "King of the Desert" and Dubcnn has labeled him one of the hottest up and coming artists on the West Coast.
The young lyricist is currently working on his next project "Desert Eagle", which should be dropping on dubcnn within the next couple of weeks. He himself calls his style "conscious gangsta", meaning that he blends the streets with higher education. For his new single, he reached out to the Shady Records capo Cashis.

  Most of you will be aware of the on going feud between Aftermath's Bishop Lamont and Black Wall Street's X.O., formerly known as Scipio. Up until now disses had been exchanged online, but according to ballerstauts.net, the situation was taken to the next level during Jim Jones' show in Los Angeles last night.
Ballerstatus reports that "Dr. Dre protégé Bishop Lamont confronted Black Wall Street's newest artist X.O., formerly known as Scipio, during the event held at Club 740". The report claims that only the two rappers were involved in the fight, and that "after the fight was broken up, X.O. was left bloodied and bruised".
Apparently there is video footage of the incident, so you can expect that to hit YouTube sooner than later. No official announcement has been made so far from neither camps, so take this with a grain of salt. We'll keep you updated on the situation.Discuss This Topic
