Last year we introduced you to the duo knows as Tha Boondoks when they released their debut mixtape with the Cali Untouchable DJ’s. Then in November we annoucned that Drastik, one half of the acclaimed group, was working with Meech Wells on a solo mixtape entitled “Nexted Up” [see; Meech Wells Finalises “The Takeover” & Gets Drastik].
In December we were able to premiere two exclusive cuts off the mixtape, “Ghetto Boy” produced by Tha Streetrunners and “City Of Angels” produced by Meech Wells – [see; Drastik & Meech Wells Prepare To Storm 2007 and since then he has been continuing to work on the new release.
Even though Drastik’s solo material is well underway that hasn’t led to any delay on Tha Boondoks recording together, as when they were recently in New York they recorded with fellow westcoast artist Shady Ray for his recently released mixtape “Man Of War.” We have both tracks below for download for those of you who have not yet seen what Tha Boondoks can deliver.
