It’s been a minute since we dubcnn last brought you a Weekend Audio update but I figured it’s about time we brought this feature back so… here we go! We’ve got some heat for ya’ll today from a wide range of artists and we’re gonna jump right into it.

Aftermath producer Focus… has proven to be one of the hardest producers in Hip-Hop through his work in the last few years, and after the success of his debut project “Dedication“, he’s currently working on a new underground CD called “Pay Homage“, on which he gives it up to those who paved the way.

The first single was just sent to us, and it’s called Homage To Premier“. Focus… lays down an exquisite Primo-like beat and he’s got three talented MC’s to support him: Royce Da 5’9, Phonte (of Little Brother) and Stat Quo wreck the mic, check it out below:

We stay on the creative Hip-Hop tip for the next joint, matter of fact it doesn’t get much more creative than this. Producer Exile, mostly known for his critically acclaimed collaboration album with Blu, “Below The Heavens“, is releasing his solo album “Radio” in February. On the album, every sound heard was recorded live off the radio and then mixed by Exile. Also be on the lookout for an exclusive interview with Exile to hit dubcnn before the album drops. Check out a leak off the album, “Sound Is God“, below:

Last week, we brought you some exclusive heat from Big Swang/Lench Mob rapper Young Maylay, along with WC and DJ Crazy Toones. The second part of the track, “Spittin’ Verses II“, on which Maylay spits to a series of instrumentals that Crazy Toones throws him, has been heavily requests by fans that wanted it as a single track. So we had to reach out and get it for you, download Maylay’s “Spittin Verses II” below:

Let’s take a trip up to the Bay Area real quick and check in with Erk Tha Jerk aka the self proclaimed “hood nerd”. The Richmond rapper built up a buzz last year when he pronounced the Hyphy movement dead and releases the song “I’m So Dumb“. You’ve also heard him on songs with Balance right here on dubcnn, so it’s only right we bring you his latest single, called “Plane In The Air“, for which he reached out to Too Short himself. Check it out:

We’re staying in the Bay for this one, Oakland to be exact. Esinchill is no stranger to dubcnn, the Digital Underground affiliate has been featured on this site before and received great feedback for his witty humour and smart wordplay. Esinchill recently signed to Seattle-based label Jake Records and is getting ready to release his solo album “Vigilante“. For his new single, he reached out to Grammy Award winning singer Dave Hollister, who will be featured on his album along with Dave Lopez, Casual and Mistah FAB:

Last but not least, we’ve got a special throwback joint for ya’ll! I know a lot of you probably haven’t heard this song in years or didn’t even know it existed. This is taken from the “Straight Outta Cali” compilation which Big C-Style released in 1998. One of the many bangers on there was the song “King Pin“, which features Jay Money of The Low Lifes, Kurupt, Tray Deee and a very young Crooked I. All the MC’s murder the G-Funk’d out production, check it out below:
