Hip-hop legends Rakim, Kurupt, and Masta Killa will release their collaborative album, The Godbody, on September 18, 2026. The album showcases coastal unity, with Kurupt representing California and Rakim and Masta Killa representing New York.
The latest single, “DPG Wu-Tang, Wu-Tang DPG,” features Kurupt and Masta Killa trading bars over production by Rakim and Nick Wiz. This follows earlier singles including Rakim’s solo track “A Different Kind”—his first self-produced song in 15 years—and “Goin Down,” featuring all three artists plus Kokane.
The Godbody is a landmark project inspired by Tupac Shakur’s vision of uniting East and West Coast emcees, built on mutual respect, legacy, and uncompromising artistry. It aims to give fans the feeling of “One Nation” through a diverse and versatile body of work recorded across both coasts.
The Godbody is produced in its entirety by Rakim and Nick Wiz, and features collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, KRS-One, Daz Dillinger, Kool G Rap, Buckshot, Kokane, and Killa Sin among others.
