The Tree-Post Collective Wants U To “Get Your Street Game Up”

The West Coast has always been known for its burgeoning underground scene, but if it wasn’t for the key tastemakers and influencers within the industry, many of these talents would have never been heard by the masses.

With the Tree-Post, the Carson, CA native Stephen Young has orchestrated an all-encompassing home for artists from all walks of life looking to expand their brand. From talent booking to brand management and event planning, the Tree-Post has lent its services to artists such as DJ Quik, Suga Free, Mack 10, Kurupt, Ray J, Kid Frost, The Jacka, Don P, Medusa, DJ Icy Ice, DJ Exile and more.

This year, Stephen is going full force with the music production division of his company, The Tree-Post Collective. This collective consists of a small but loyal camp: D-Wizzey (West Stylin Music Group), Lan Vu (ValDesigns.com and PhoBolsaTV.com), Baba Zoom (BZFilmz.com), DJ Droops(Out Da House Productions) and Ron Sterling (Original Glaze LA).

The Tree-Post Collective’s first single was “Meet Me At The Twist”, to which a music video was released in December of 2011. The song featured West Coast legend Suga Free, along with Ill Camille, Dahliam and Baba Zoom over a D-Wizzey production.

While there are plenty new singles set to flood the streets this summer, the next project coming from The Tree-Post Collective is the documentary, “Get Your Street Game Up – The Documentary Vol.1”, which shines some light on the mechanics behind this operation. “Get Your Street Game Up” documents the making of and the promotional process behind two projects, “Sexican” (Kid Frost, Cali Dreamz, Kay Nine Tha Boss , Layne Tadesse) and “Four The Hard Way” (Moosie, Suga Free & Kokane).

You can see them organize the campaigns and lock business deals as they move city to city from San Diego to the Bay Area. Watch the Tree-Post Collective generate buzz by connecting with the movers and shakers in each city, stopping by radio stations and connecting with relevant artists from each city. If you’re expecting Hollywood and glamour – think again. The Tree-Post Collective shows you the grind and hard work that goes behind these records.

Take a ride with The Tree-Post Collective as they promote “Sexican” and “Four The Hard Way”:
