William Bell, Stax Music Academy & Snoop Dogg “I Forgot to Be Your Lover” (Audio)

Stax Records/Concord Music Group have announced the release of Take Me To the River: Music From The Motion Picture due September 9th, 2014.

The companion album to Martin Shore’s award-winning soulful documentary “Take Me To The River” features 12 tracks from the film’s all-star ensemble cast.

Snoop Dogg, Yo Gotti, Frayser Boy, 8 Ball, MJB, soul legend William Bell and more featuring on the release and the first single from the album is a modern interpretation of the classic soul gem “I Forgot to Be Your Lover.”

The track sees William Bell with STAX Music Academy Students featuring Snoop Dogg. It would be great if you could share the new single and promo teaser clip featuring Snoop and William Bell below. We’ve included a press release with more details about the album below.
