Incredibly October will mark 25 years since the release of Ice Cube’s landmark album, “Death Certificate.”
The iconic cover – depicting Uncle Sam laid out in a mortuary – has gone down as one of the most recognised album covers of all time. To mark this piece of history he’s inviting you as fans to make your own history by re-designing the original album art!
Ice Cube and Lench Mob Records are looking for fresh album cover designs that embody the spirit of the album and resonate with longtime Ice Cube fans. Cube is urging fans to go back and listen through the album once again for inspiration. One Selected Artist will receive $1,500 and have their artwork potentially featured in the promotional and commercial acknowledgements of the album. 4 Highly Commended Artists will also receive $500 each!
