In-demand Houston producer TrakkSounds partners with HipHopDX to premiere “Can’t Explain It,” the first music video from his forthcoming album The Other Side. Directed by Jorgey Films, the video lands in Houston where they celebrate with the feel good track that features Scotty ATL, Oran Juice Jones II aka Mookie Jones and Rizzoo Rizzoo.
“There’s a lot of negativity in the world nowadays but music can change your mindset and mood. I wanted to create a song with an uplifting message and some bounce,” explains producer TrakkSounds. “Putting out content driven songs can be tough but I like to pair it with a beat that moves and melodies that hit. ‘Can’t Explain It’ is about staying on the grind in whatever way you can. There’s always haters but just ignore the noise. You don’t have to explain it. Keep doing you and you’ll make it.”
“These guys definitely have that crazy infectious energy that I wanted to blend together,” says TrakkSounds of the collaboration. “Scotty nailed it with the verses, Oran added the perfect crispy hook and Rizzoo’s adlibs brought it all together.”
TrakkSounds will release his The Other Side album this Spring. The 15-track project includes previously released “11:15” that flips TLC’s classic “Creep” with a new male perspective and “Once Upon A Time,” the lead single that pairs a long-awaited collaboration with Scarface and Starlito. XXL praised “Once Upon A Time” for its dark piano laden production as “fantastic.” Meanwhile HotNewHipHop encouraged readers to become familiar with the Houston producer who’s “working with some of the hottest artists in the game right now.”
Trakksounds just wrapped up 4 showcases at SXSW including the “Welcome To Tha South” showcase alongside Peewee Longway, Maxo Kream, Starlito, Ralo and Sonny Digital. Additionally he performed at the Hoodrich SXSW, Welcome 2 Trapan and at the Lvl Up Mansion Party.
To celebrate his new album The Other Side, Trakksounds will host a hometown album release party on April 1st at Houston’s Warehouse Live with not-to-be-missed performances from Starlito, Don Trip, Scotty ATL and many other special guests.
