Since last year when Kendrick Lamar released his grammy award winning single “i” it was clear he was working on the follow up to the highly successful “Good Kid Maad City” album.

Last month he released the incredible “The Blacker The Berry” and now the release date of his second major-label album has been announced.

The album – which has appeared on iTunes for pre-order with no cover and as “Untitled” is slated for a March 23rd release.

The LP will feature 16 songs and the only one we know for sure that will features is the aforementioned “The Blacker The Berry” track.

The album will stand at 75 minutes and 71 seconds across 16 tracks, which is 10 minutes less than on the first 16 tracks of GKMC. One of the tracks is either hidden with a wall of silence or is a 12 minute audio-masterpiece, much like “Sing About Me, I’m Dying of Thirst” which was on his debut!

The track timings sets the album average at 5 minutes a piece – once again like GKMC this isn’t single material, this looks to be another opus!

We’ll have the latest when the album cover, full tracklist and title is revealed, stay tuned – until then cop on iTunes!
